ANNOUNCEMENT: CARMINA BURANA SOLOISTS 🚨

We’re delighted to announce our three soloists for the 30th Anniversary Gala Concert at Usher Hall on 13 September.

Soprano Emma Morwood studied at the University of Edinburgh and the Royal Northern College of Music and has performed with leading orchestras and opera companies across Europe, including the RSNO, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Edinburgh International Festival. You might also recognise her from BBC’s The Great British Sewing Bee.

Tenor Joseph Doody studied at Edinburgh University, the Royal College of Music and the National Opera Studio. His recent performances include appearances with English National Opera, English Touring Opera, Welsh National Opera and Longborough Festival Opera.

Baritone Paul Grant is a Royal Academy of Music graduate and became the second British singer to join the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan. His international career has included Teatro alla Scala, the Royal Opera House and Edinburgh International Festival. Paul joined NYCOS in 1998, progressing from the Edinburgh Area Choir through the Training Choir and NYCOS, before returning as a singing teacher with the National Boys Choir.

We're delighted to welcome Marion Carson and Sam Kirk to the NYCOS Board.

Marion joins the Board with extensive experience in pastoral care, theological education and charity governance, alongside a lifelong passion for choral singing.

“It is a privilege to join the Board of NYCOS. I am delighted to be a part of an organisation which influences so many young people's lives for good.”

Sam is a founding member of NYCOS and brings more than 20 years' experience in strategic HR leadership, reward and governance.
