Doors Open Days Free access to thousands of buildings around Scotland every September. Tours, talks and more! This page was created with support from Event Scotland.

Doors Open Days is part of European Heritage Days, supported by Historic Environment Scotland. Area coordinators create and manage local programmes and work for a variety of local authorities, civic trusts and heritage organisations.

🤩Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th of September🤩

With over 50 venues across the city - plus a few surprises - it’s the perfect weekend to explore somewhere new, rediscover an old favourite, and celebrate the incredible heritage all around Aberdeen.

✨ And don’t forget - there are THREE additional venues not listed in the brochure:

• Gordon & Watson Funeral Directors – 5th September – 11am – 3pm

• Aberdeen Saints Croquet Club at Westburn Park – 5th & 6th September 1030am – 3pm

• SRUC Animal Care Unit – 5th September 10am – 2pm
(please note: the Sherrif Court is not participating this year although listed in brochure)

Whether you love civic architecture, green spaces, hidden gems, creative spaces, or historic halls there’s something for everyone. Doors Open Day is free, family friendly, and one of the best weekends of the year for exploring Aberdeen.
