People and places without whom...

28/07/2016

Yesterday Music For Hands And Feet made an "almost private" show at Avangard Billy.

We would like to thank Billy for hosting us and helping Georgia Moffa to rehearse the choreography during the past three weeks.

We'll play a full show in Avantgarde in September so keep an eye on the page for this future event!
And the full show at Cottiers Theatre on Sunday the 31st of July.

Most importantly, I would like to thank each of the beautiful human beings who expressed their talent and passion during the night.

In vague disorder, Stuart Drever on guitar, Pete Parisetti on bass, Bill Kettle on drums, Chris Charles on electric cello.

A special thank to Georgia Moffa, without whom the very idea of the show wouldn't exists.

I hope to see you Sunday!

Sketch watercolor paintings.

One day she comes back, years later, she is so much taller; she has grown up, but never quite grown up enough to forget. She has lost some things gained others, we grow.

She walks through her beloved wood, looks up to see her treetops, her blue sky, she wants to go and count her little islands on the edge of invisibility.
A fire catches her off guard, flames red and orange, and loud, dance across and between her. She feels in the earth, cold metal contrasts the hot earth. She awakes with a necklace around her neck in another world.

Excerpt from Music for Hands and Feet.

The child is growing up, and she has to leave her lighthouse cliffs, her sea full of ethereal islands that she counts as her grandfather used to do, to live in the city, too far away to look upon the shores.
Her mornings of flying through the woods on her red bicycle have passed, looking up to see freckles of blue amidst the green treetops. Watching the sea, watching the waves, but adventures await her…
