On Wednesday 12th March the Craicfriars boys bring a free comedy show to Blackfriars of Bell Street featuring their absolute best material. Featuring Peter Bell (Steve Hofstetter’s opener), Kyle Samuel (Beat the Blackout winner) and Charlie Wallace (hasn’t won anything but is really good anyway, we promise), this is about the best way to start off your Glasgow International Comedy Festival.

Peter Bell is a rapidly-rising stand-up comedy star from Paisley. His unique style and sharp wit have entertained audiences and annoyed his peers, and led to him making the BBC New Comedy Awards Shortlist 2023, and winning the prestigious ‘Beat the Gong’ show in Stockton.
“The idea that Peter is this good and less than three years in makes me look forward to how good he will be.” - Steve Hofstetter
"Impressively funny." - Brett Druck
“All his friends call him ‘Big Pumpkin’ and now we know why.” – Comedy Dundee
Kyle Samuel is a promising comedian from East Ayrshire. Marrying outlandish storytelling together with deadpan charm, Kyle has become a favourite at some of the biggest clubs in the country, including The Glee Club. In 2023 he won the prestigious Beat the Blackout gong show.
"Clever jokes with a self-deprecating style and a calm delivery, he was brilliant and the audience loved him" - Vibe Room Comedy Club
Charlie Wallace is an award-losing comedian from England. Starting his career on the English language Asia comedy circuit, he has performed extensively in China and Vietnam, as well as Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan and once in Eqypt. Over his six year stand-up career he’s opened shows for Ardal O’Hanlon, Glenn Wool, Phil Kay, Martin Mor and Greg Fleet to name but a few. Now based in Glasgow, he runs Comedy Dundee, Dundee’s most imaginatively named comedy club, as well as working with Tennents Laughter Lounge and Craicfriars Comedy.
