Said the Dove to the Olive Tree is included in the Bethlehem Cultural Festival ! A cultural festival dedicated to Palestinian art, showcasing performances and short films, along with live panel discussions.

The live events are happening in:

📍 LONDON @ Grand Junction in Paddington - Thursday 2nd & Friday 3rd December 5 pm - 10 pm

📍 GLASGOW Saturday 4th December 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

📍 GLASGOW City Chambers Sunday 5th December 3:30 pm - 9:30 pm

A piece of digital spoken word, it explores the complex feelings and identity of a Palestinian diaspora in Scotland. Starring Amira and featuring an original score fusing Celtic and Palestinian music styles, the film captures the intricate balance between the nostalgic romanticism of a homeland she cannot return to, and the bleak and dangerous reality of the oppression of Palestinians.

Said the Dove to the Olive Tree was shot over 4 days in July 2021, in 6 different Scottish council areas. As part of the film, we want to celebrate the monuments and memorials created by Scottish supporters of Palestine in Dundee, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
