Have you ever wondered how exactly plastic bottles are turned into clothing?

Recycled polyester, for example, starts off as collected plastic bottles from landfills and recycling points.
Bottles are sterilised, shredded, melted and woven into the desired material.

Even after this process, recycled fabrics still use 59% less energy in production, compared to creating conventional polyester using oil.
