Fresh Comedy at Blackfriars

Fresh Comedy @ Blackfriars returns to Glasgow's OG comedy club on Monday 14th September.

This week's headliner is Viv Gee, a legend of Scottish comedy whose contribution to the scene was recognised with the Outstanding Contribution to Comedy' prize at the Scottish comedy Awards, as well as a nomination for the Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award. She has also been a finalist in storied competitions such as the BBC New Comedy Award and So You Think You're Funny?

Our support act is Liam Farrelly. Best known for his appearance on the flagship BBC show Live at the Apollo, Liam is a former Scottish Comedian of the Year who has made a huge splash since breaking into comedy as a teenager. He has also featured on Scot Squad and won the prestigious Frog and Bucket World Series.

We'll also have sets from some of Scotland's most exciting up-and-coming comedians - all held together by our resident compere Roddy Gordon.

Free Comedy at Blackfriars (Glasgow, Merchant City) on Monday 24th August - with headliner Rachel Jackson.

Jackson is an award-winning Scottish comedian with TV credits such as The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV) and Edinburgh Unlocked (BBC). As well as comedy, Rachel is an accomplished actor who has been seen in the likes of Beats, Two Doors Down, Still Game, Scot Squad, Outlander. She's also done the Jumanji 1-2: been directed by Karen Gillan and been tweeted by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson (thrice).
