Youth-led project to design, make and build a soundsystem; teaching all the skills required to build & operate it including DJing, MCing & Music making.

Bringing music making to those who wouldn't normally take part. Soundsystems is a youth-led project where experienced musicians, DJs, MCs, selecters, box men and soundsystem operators work with a group of young people to help them to design, build and operate their own 12 volt soundsystem. Currently working remotely online.

We are back in this weekend for 2 full days of FREE Music workshops.

Open to all levels of experience the workshops are for young people between 12-18yrs old.

If you want to create beats, write lyrics and learn how to operate a soundsystem this is the workshop for you!

The Soundsystem Project - is coming to Glasgow 😎

We offer free music workshops , building a 12v Sound System & creating electronic music with young people between the ages of 12- 18. 🔥

📍 We will be at Sunny Govan Community Radio HQ on the 6th & 7th of April from 10am - 4pm and we would love to meet the next generation on music makers from Glasgow.

Supporting young people to design, build and operate their own soundsystem as a way into music-making.

Covering all aspects from design, build, operations, selecting, DJing. MC-ing, live music, recording, songwriting, music making, performance, event organisation, marketing & promotion we offer young people many ways to engage, make new friends and to be part of the team who run their own system. In 2019 with support of Creative Scotland’s Youth Music Initiative we will be working with young people in Largs and continuing our work in Dumfries and Easterhouse.
