🚑 The Boardwalk, home of Impact Arts, now has a defibrillator!

A huge thank you to St John Scotland for funding this project. ❤️

The defib is now set up on The Circuit portal, which makes it available to all blue light services in the event of a cardiac emergency. The device is now available at reception during opening hours with the aim of being housed outside The Boardwalk in due course for 24 hour access for the general public on Brunswick Street, Glasgow.

Why this matters 💛
A defibrillator can help save someone's life if they're in cardiac arrest. It's an easy-to-use medical device that can analyse the heart's rhythm through pads applied to the chest and then, if needed, deliver an electrical shock to the heart.

According to the British Red Cross, quick use of a defibrillator can lead to survival rates of 50% to 70% and if someone is unresponsive and not breathing, defibrillators are crucial, as every minute counts.
