The Neighbourhood Variety Show- Sauchiehall Street seeks to re-imagine the tradition of variety shows through inviting local people and performers to take to the stage in a celebration of one of Glasgow’s most famous promenades.

It seeks to transform the stage into a truly civic space where community can be felt, experienced, and celebrated by a diverse array of short performances made in collaboration with local people and frequent visitors.

At its core, The Neighbourhood Variety Show is about re-negotiating the theatre as a site for community, connection, and care - creating a joyous space for people to come into contact with each other and an invigorated sense of civic spirit.

The Neighbourhood Variety Show is a performance project by Eoin McKenzie (Artist In Residence: Communities) .like.ian as part of the National Theatre of Scotland’s Neighbourhood Project
