With deadlines approaching for block one of both first and second year Illustration, it’s important to keep morale high in what can be a trying time for students. As such I’ve personally put together a small collection of humorous relatable memes to get everyone into a light and positive mood going into the next few weeks. Some of our students had the opportunity to take part in the Picture Hooks conference in Dundee this weekend where they gained a greater insight into the world of illustration within children's story books. It was a wonderful experience which allowed them to network with fellow illustrators aswell as getting to know the ins and outs of the world of story book illustration.

There’s nothing like a refreshing step outside to help fill our creative lungs. The fire alarm deciding to going off during class today proved to be an excellent opportunity to step away from our work to stand outside of the college; An opportunity we took to reflect on our time on the course thus far, reinvigorating us and getting us ready to work towards our rapidly approaching deadlines. Remember folks It’s not the destination that makes life beautiful, it’s the journey. Namaste. 😀
