So, I’m finally going to share a little more of the person behind the business 👀
6 years ago I started as Floating About, never knowing where it would take me.
Since then, I’ve been so lucky to be part of so many of your celebrations - some of you have been with me from bump, to baby, to birthday after birthday 🥹🤍
But this has always been about so much more than a business for me. It’s been my creative outlet, my independence and something that kept me going through some really difficult times.
Building this business gave me something to focus on, something to be proud of and, more importantly, it showed me just how strong and capable I actually was.
It taught me that I could build something of my own, stand on my own two feet and create a life that I was proud of 🤍
This year, Floating About became Proper Events, and now I’m taking the next step with Proper Prints.
I’ve always had a latex allergy, and as it’s become increasingly difficult to work with balloons, I’ve chosen to change the path of my business rather than walk away from the creativity that has meant so much to me.
I’ll still make time for my regular customers and the occasional balloon order, but my focus is now printing, personalised party details and creating all those little things that make an event feel properly yours. ✨
