This Moment and The Next is a cinematic documentary film made with and about people that live and work on a housing estate on the edge of Colchester, Britain’s first recorded town.
Directed by Rosie Morris and produced by Nic Blower, Made in the summer of 2023 this observational film weaves together multiple narratives that reflect the strength of community, family, friendship and care that exist there.

Join Lyrici Arts and acclaimed actor Wil Johnson on Friday, 17th July 2026, in this new one-man show, celebrating a personal history as a DJ: the music, memories, and Jamaican heritage.

Rooted in lived experience, the performance journeys from early Friday after-school sessions gathered around a family hi-fi to first parties, first gigs, and the evolution of sound system culture.

This is a new work in progress, with a limited number of seats for this preview. You will experience an early version of the show as it is being developed.
