We're excited to share some big news about the next chapter for Gillingham Community Cinema.
Many of you already enjoy our monthly film screenings, and from this autumn we're expanding our programme to bring world-class concert experiences to Gillingham on the big screen.
We've now booked three spectacular Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra concert presentations, giving you the opportunity to experience outstanding performances with crystal-clear picture and cinema-quality sound – all without travelling to a major concert hall.
Whether you're a lifelong classical music lover or simply enjoy great live music, these evenings promise to be a wonderful experience.

Romantic, passionate and wonderfully melodic, this promises to be an evening to savour.

Elgar's Dream
• Elgar – The Dream of Gerontius
One of Britain's greatest musical masterpieces, this magnificent work for orchestra, chorus and soloists is a deeply moving and uplifting experience that has captivated audiences for over a century.
These concerts will be presented in high definition on our large cinema screen with superb sound, allowing you to enjoy every detail of the orchestra and performers from the comfort of your seat.
As always, presentations will begin at 7.00 pm at the Vicarage Schoolrooms, Queen Street, Gillingham and the usual ice cream and alcoholic drinks will be available.
If you've never been to a classical concert before, why not give one a try? You may be surprised by how accessible, exciting and entertaining orchestral music can be. We'll send full ticket details nearer each event, but we wanted to give everyone plenty of notice so you can save the dates.
