Our watercolour projects from spring term took students on a beautiful artistic journey ✨🎨

We started with *French Classic in Provence*, a playful and textured piece featuring a quirky nod to a classic French car set against a Van Gogh–inspired backdrop—full of charm and personality.

Next, *Echoes of Antiquity* invited students to explore classical architecture, experimenting with stone tones, light, and shadow while capturing the grandeur of ancient facades and pillars with expressive techniques.

We finished with *Sunlit Quiet*, a gentle and reflective study focused on soft washes and subtle layers, evoking peaceful, sun-drenched moments of stillness.

Such a wonderful term of creativity, exploration, and growth—well done to our students ! 🌿

Our Oil Pastel Weeks have been such a joy! 🎨✨

In Week 1, we took inspiration from train stations and day-trip scenes, encouraging students to keep their work loose and stylised while exploring movement and atmosphere.

Week 2 brought a beautiful shift into a pointillist late spring landscape — full of bright, golden fields inspired by sunshine and rapeseed blooms. Using a dot-based technique, students patiently built up colour and texture to create truly vibrant, glowing pieces.

Both projects have been absolutely wonderful to see come to life — full of creativity, focus, and individual expression. We’re so proud of what everyone has achieved! 🌼

We’ve kicked off our Spring Course with pure pencil magic! ✏️✨

First, we created bold and stylish travel posters inspired by the iconic work of A. M. Cassandre — strong shapes, confident colours and fabulous Art Deco flair.

Next, we sketched a beautifully nostalgic old watermill, full of quiet charm and texture.

And finally… we went WILD! 🦔⚡ “Wild and Wirey – The Scribble Hog,” inspired by the energetic style of Catherine Rayner, brought expressive lines and big personality to life.

We’ve kicked off our Spring Course in the most creative way — with pencil power! ✏️✨

Our first project was a bold and stylish travel poster inspired by the iconic Art Deco work of A. M. Cassandre. Using coloured pencils, we explored strong shapes, striking compositions and confident design — and the results were absolutely stunning!

Next, we slowed things down with a beautifully nostalgic pencil drawing. We travelled (on paper!) to a quiet corner of the countryside, sketching an old, timeworn watermill — full of charm, texture and storytelling. Such a peaceful and mindful piece to create.

And for our final pencil week… we went WILD! 🦔⚡
Meet “Wild and Wirey – The Scribble Hog”, inspired by the wonderfully energetic and characterful style of Catherine Rayner. Loose lines, expressive marks and lots of personality brought our spiky little friends to life!

What a fantastic start to the season — creativity flowing, pencils dancing and imaginations soaring. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the course brings! 🎨🌸

What a fantastic time we’ve had this week diving into the vibrant world of oil pastels! Our students have been absolutely crushing it with their creativity and hard work, and we couldn’t be more proud of their progress! 🌟

Our projects this week were perfect for the season: **sunglasses** and **lemonade**. From the sunny hues of summer to the refreshing sweetness of a cold drink, each piece was a burst of color and joy. 🍋🕶️

It’s incredible to see how far our students have come, exploring new techniques, experimenting with colors, and truly expressing their unique artistic voices. Keep up the amazing work, everyone! You are all shining bright! 🌞
