Heading back to school with new piercings? Here’s what you need to know:
✅ Don’t Remove Jewellery Until It’s Fully Healed!
Taking out your jewellery too soon can cause your piercing to close, trap bacteria, and lead to infection. Healing times vary, you can check our aftercare on the sheet you were given, on our website www.docblackink.co.uk or by calling in and speaking to our piercers.
✅ Need a Discreet Option?
If your school doesn’t allow visible jewellery, a clear piercing retainer may be an option once your piercing is stable.
➡️ We sell retainers (but cannot fit them for you). Always check with the piercer before switching. Only use a retainer as a last resort and ideally only after the piercing is stable.
✅ Never Force Jewellery In or Out
If you’re having trouble, always get help from a professional piercer rather than risking damage or infection.
