Fresh off the Broadway Stage: World-Class A Ca****la Coming to Gateshead!

Durham University’s premier vocal ensemble, Northern Lights, is set to perform live at the Gateshead Beer Festival.

This is an exclusive chance to see the UK’s reigning national champions on home turf following their historic triumph at the International Championship of Collegiate A Ca****la (ICCA) World Finals in New York City, where they were officially crowned second in the world.

The 16-strong ensemble blew away international judges and Broadway audiences alike, taking home global awards for both Outstanding Arrangement and Outstanding Choreography.

Known for weaving mainstream pop hits and dramatic ballads into high-energy routines, Northern Lights promises to bring an unforgettable, world-class show to the festival stage.

The duo bring serious passion, class, and immense fun to the festival!

Mainstage Set:

They kick off the evening early (7:30pm) to pump up the outdoor/marquee crowd before handing over to our headliners Smoove and Turrell

The Legendary Hall Spot:

Following the main stage, Dave Lynas & Ben Bloom return to their intimate, indoor spot at the Gateshead Rugby Club main hall from 9pm onwards.

With the perfect pairing of incredible string work, powerful vocals, and a room full of great beer, their slot is a non-stop, sing-along party that keeps the entire room on its feet

Festival Overview & Music Stages

The festival expands its entertainment footprint across multiple designated performance areas to keep crowds entertained through the weekend:

The Main Stage / Marquee: Hosts the headline acts, known for bringing high-energy rock, indie, and tribute sets that close out the evenings.

The Hall Stage / Clubhouse: Provides a closer, more intimate setting previously showcasing regional singer-songwriters, acoustic cover sets, folk duos, local ukelele clubs, and rising grassroots musicians

Tribute Superstars Set to perform at the Gateshead Beer & Music Festival – The highly anticipated Gateshead Beer & Music Festival at Gateshead Rugby Club has officially announced an explosive tribute lineup..

This year's event will feature three powerhouse acts: country icon celebration Definitely Dolly, pop-phenomenon tribute Beyond Taylor, and rock legends The Bryan Adams Experience.

* Definitely Dolly: Bringing the country charm. This act perfectly channels Dolly Parton. Expect rhinestones, high energy, and massive sing-alongs. She will perform timeless anthems like 9 to 5 and Jolene.

* Taylor Reloaded - An amazing Taylor Swift tribute. This performance captures the magic of the Eras tour. It delivers non-stop pop hits from Shake It Off to Cruel Summer. It is guaranteed to get the entire festival crowd dancing.
