We also absolutely loved ♥️the Rachael Clewlow exhibit for I remember when I was in The She’d in Gateshead this was where I first became aware of her beautiful work. The little man had just been born and I am pleased to say that 9 years on we are both big fans of Rachael’s work, although I think he may be a super fan!!

Quite some time ago now I spent about a year working in a care home. Many of the residents suffered from varying degrees of dementia. And it amazed me at how positively they responded to being creative. But the true transformation happened when the residents would engage with music. I wonder why our brains/memories hold onto music in a way that they don’t hold onto other things in our lives like a loved ones face. I think it’s fascinating.
