In this workshop you will use montage, collage and printing ink to produce a beautiful floral piece of artwork.

Getting creative in the studio is the best isn't it? A real tonic to everything that's going on at the moment... We've had a really experimental day today as we head into designing our second collection and we already love the bright orange and rich red. There's about another four colours to add to this palette as we keep layering up the busy botanical prints and hand cut stencils keep the motifs changing and developing with each cut. Its a labour of love!

Since we've opened our studio, we've had lots of visitors who are drawn to our display of mono prints and asked how they're created. Many have wanted to buy them but we've struggled to let go! "Why not come along and create your own" we say.... You'll start small and finish with a large piece and end up taking home a very impressive pile of frameable art work you'll feel super proud of. We've added three dates for this workshop so there's space for everybody. We had some disappointed last minute bookers before and we don't like that at all! So, click through the link if you'd like to spend a glorious couple of hours in print heaven ... I think we'll all need a little bit of calming creativity after a very busy summer holiday!

Had a very satisfying day of printing today using screen and mono print techniques which is funny because those are our Autumn workshops! Adding botanical prints to abstract shapes taken from Gibside has given us our 'Spirit of Place' collection. You can buy items from our collection at the Celebration of Textiles event on 6th August or even pop into our studio corner shop on 'Open Studio Tuesday' at Gibside Stables. Today was all about making embroidery kits for the event where you'll be able to try your hand at some simple screen printing and use an embroidery kit to embellish your print.

If you are interested in printing techniques, our screen printing workshop at our studio will give you the opportunity to design your own piece of fabric using paper cut stencils and our mono print workshops are all about nature and creating beautiful wall art for your home.

Fridays are the best! All the admin and boring jobs get put to one side on Fridays so that we can have some balance, and today has been super satisfying with a full day of screen printing … There’s been Lots of experimenting and our ‘Spirit of Place’ collection is starting to come together. Our fabrics will soon be transformed into gorgeous interior and lifestyle products for the upcoming ‘Celebration of Textiles’ event Centre so watch this space!
