This is a play within a play, highlighting the trials and tribulations of an Amateur Dramatic Group trying to put on a play written by one of their own members. It is a good laugh, especially when you know how true to life it is!

On Tuesday the 1st of July we shall be reading the play we hope to produce in November. The meeting is open to all and starts at 7.45pm in Cabus Village Hall. Come on down if you fancy getting involved!

Diana Slater who is retiring from the players after 60 years of involvement is seen here with Barbie Dickason the producer of the play who stepped in to take the role of the journalist after Rachel Guinan fell ill after the first night’s performance.
Diana’s first role was as Lady Jane Grey in ‘The Frost on the Rose’ in 1965. Since then she took many leading roles before becoming our main producer. For the last 15 years she has been our makeup person. We need a replacement! If you are interested please contact us.

Tidying away after the latest production. It takes hours to build the set but it comes down quickly. The only problem is storing all the furniture and flats.

Cabus players will be meeting next on Tuesday the 7th of January. We shall be reading a play we hope to stage in June. All are welcome to come to the meeting especially if you fancy a go at AmDram! Meeting starts at 7.30pm.
