CLIMATE ACTION ENSEMBLE PROJECT
Supported by SBCAN (Scottish Borders Climate Action)

Do you feel Anger, Fear, or Disconnection from life because of our uncertain future?
Instead of being overwhelmed, get involved and transform your feelings into Theatre of Resistance!

Climate Action Ensemble is a response to the complex and difficult experience of being a young person who is aware and wants to make their voice heard.

We use theatre practice; actively engaging with likeminded people, to slide-tackle the climate crisis.

3 days of workshops with trained theatre maker and budding rebel clown Lukca Henry Best, leading to devising a Forum Theatre performance, inspired by Augusto Boal’s Theatre Of The Oppressed, that poses a problem and then demands the audience suggests solutions for the protagonists to act out.

A second performance will take place the following weekend, on Sunday 27th September, with a final day of developing the show before meeting a larger audience.

Disrupt and start discourse!

Gala Painted Spaces at Little Art Hub

Little Art Hub has been a great exhibition space for the Coz H & TD1 Chromonauts current exhibition, currently sharing with the local community what to expect from the Paint Jam. The Chromonauts have also been having a few art sessions here too recently with the latest one with Graffiti artist, LaToy .

Next weekend the Paint Jam kicks off with a workshop hosted by Glasgow based Street Artist, Philippa Tomlin: Hysterious on Fri 31st July from 2-4pm.
-This session is open to young people in the local area. Our regular TD1 Chromonauts group will also be running alongside as some of them step out into new skills too with the artist demonstrating skills with stencils, rollers and bringing a little bit of chaos into the artwork. Spaces are limited and if young people would like to sign up the link is HERE. (Will add the link for insta folks)

On Saturday 1st August the Little Art Hub becomes a venue for artists to be painting live! As Hysterious continues to work on our wall, local artists will be creating artwork in the Hub on their boards. The space will be open from 10-6pm for those artists and open from 12-4pm for the general public to pop in, meet the artists and have a go on our shared board.

Do pop in and say hello, meet the artists and discover more about street art and it’s potential to bring colour and personality into the community. The Paint Jam itself will also be happening in other spaces including the Focus Centre and the Ladhope Vale Car Park during the weekend.

Please be aware that Little Art Hub will be closed on Sunday.

We stopped to take pictures playfully and doodle with chalks, whilst asking what the possibilities could be for these spaces and what we could imagine.
