Here we have 4 x 6" layers of Chocolate Sponge filled with Fresh Raspberry Cream Cheese, finished with a dusting of Icing Sugar

Afternoon folks,
After a short summer break, and a fresh coat of paint, The Honesty Box is now open for business.
Fully stocked with some of your favourites and a range of New Season Jams.
Over the coming weeks, we will be introducing a new range of bakes as well as some items from our arts and crafts.
Inside the door, you'll find our new QR codes that you can use to quickly find our pages.

We are also resuming our made to order service so if there's something you think we can help with, then please feel free to drop us a DM or WhatsApp.

First attempt at a proper layered celebration cake.
The cake is 3 x 6" Vanilla Sponge filled with Strawberry Jam and Vanilla Buttercream.
The outer coating is also Vanilla Buttercream coloured and piped to look like grass.

The Hearts and NFL logos are printed in-house on matt icing sheets with the Football effect being made with hand cut fondant.

Tye cake topper was also made in-house.

Quite pleased with the overall result but was certainly a lot harder to make than it needed to be.
Lessons learned, now on to the next one 🎂🍰

Traditional 8" Fruit Cake, made with just over 1Kg of dried fruit and nuts. Fruit was pre-soaked in Amaretto for 48 hours prior to baking.
Once completely cooled, the cake will be wrapped and stored in a cool dark place to age and develop the flavour profile.
The cake will be fed regularly with Amaretto but won't be ready for decorating for at least 3 months.
Cakes such as this, if stored correctly, can still be perfectly edible 12 - 18 months after they were baked.
