Welcome to Horizons Dance Academy

Horizons Academy provides quality, fun and friendly classes in and around Ely and Cambridge. Our packed timetable includes Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acro, Contemporary, Commercial and Musical Theatre for children from three years of age all the way through to adults. Opportunities include the option to take part in IDTA exams, Shows, Festivals & Performances. We proudly

encourage all young dancers, whatever their ability and goals.
- Welcoming recreational dancers who love their weekly classes.
- Supporting dancers who wish to dance professionally in the future.
- Also offering IDTA dance teaching qualifications. A friendly and inclusive school where every single child matters, we are extremely proud of the positive dance community that we are building together.

I’ve had so many of you ask about our wedding that I thought I’d better share a little snapshot of the most special time of my life 🥰

You all made the build up to the wedding so exciting and showed me so much kindness and generosity - I can’t tell you how many of the little ones asked if they’d all be bridesmaids! 😂🥰

I really felt like I had so much love sending me into it all!

The wedding was a magical time full of loved ones, garden games, sunshine, flowers and Tap dancers!!

We are so grateful for everyone who made us both feel so special and loved. 🥰

At Horizons we try to strike a balance between the traditionally quite formal, disciplined ballet class and an interactive, creative and welcoming fresh approach.

We aim to promote all the benefits of a traditional class - technique, dedication, commitment, discipline in an environment which is inclusive, encouraging, creative, fun and welcoming.

We take ballet seriously, but we also have a serious amount of fun with it!

Who doesn’t love a FRIDAY?!!!

Miss Molly’s Fridays are absolutely buzzing right now, the new Musical Theatre time has made the class accessible to so many more dancers who absolutely smashed it in the show! The jazz and acro classes have real team spirit!

Miss Emily teaches our ballet and tap classes in Ely which includes some of the youngest dancers in our school, a special class to teach as they are still in such early stages of their dancing journey 🩰

OUR FRIDAYS ARE VIBRANT & ENERGISED and we can’t wait to see what’s in store in the new term 🤩

Increase strength, stamina and flexibility while learning tricks and tumbles to add an impressive flair to your performances.

Our Acro students are strongly encouraged to take acro alongside a core dance subject - acro is a dance form and dance technique is essential for understanding and progression.

Acro adds a wonderful balance to any dancers training, a discipline that is exciting and explosive yet controlled and graceful.

Tap offers dancers the chance to develop rhythm, musicality and timing as they learn to add an extra layer of percussion to a large variety of music styles.

Expect rhythm drills, travelling steps, tricks, and routines to varied music genres.

Tap is a bit of a favourite at Horizons and it feels great to watch a whole new generation become as passionate about tap as we are!

We are in Fulbourn on Tuesdays & Thursdays and have Ballet, Tap and Jazz classes for a variety of age groups.
