Our Director Simon Morrissey is presenting at PARADOX European Fine Art Forum 2026 at the National College of Art & Design Dublin this week.
The first in-person Paradox conference since 2019, the theme of CCC: Connecting + Collaborating + Co-Creating brings together artists, educators, and researchers from across Europe for two dynamic days of talks, workshops, and collective inquiry in Dublin to reflect on the vital role of art and Fine Art education in civic life, critical thinking, and the shaping of democratic and sustainable futures in an increasingly complex world.
Simon is presenting a case study with exploring AFTERMATH, the Foreground project that brought new research by Sophie and their colleague into 2 concurrent public exhibitions in Bristol in 2024. They are discussing the rich ways in which the community of practice formed with students to realise the project developed experiential learning for undergraduates, created employment opportunities for graduates, and explored how art schools can collaborate with others to directly produce culture in their communities through knowledge exchange.
