What is ambient dance?

Some ponderings on the ever-evolving idea of ambient dance from .maxwell.taylor. We will be hosting our first 'Ambient Dance Workshop' at on the 23rd November from 14:00-16:00. Book via the workshop page on their website or following the link in our bio. What can you expect?

🍂 A deep yet calming space to consider seasonality as a dancer or movement artist.

📝 Guided journalling to reconnect with ourselves, our values, our hopes.

🫂 Ambient dance exercises that develop tranquility and vitality, drawing on contact improvisation and butoh.

🍵 Japanese tea and maybe some plant-based baked goods!

😌 Hopefully, a feeling of dance that allows us to feel more grounded in ourselves instead of comparing and pursuing "perfection".

2024 has been a journey. Want to pause, reflect and look ahead in a gentle way?

Join us online on the 4th January 2025 from 10:00-11:00 for an hour of calm journaling with guided meditation, ambient music and a series of writing prompts to ground us as we head into 2025. No expectations, no pressure.
