DOWN TO THE WIRE!
Ladies and Gents, Friends and Followers..
Yesterday, the Scott Sutherland Project Team visited the studio of Alan Beattie-Herriot (centre of phot), where we had the privilege of sighting the full size model of the Leaping Salmon statue. The statue is now ready to go to the foundry for casting in bronze - no small task and no small cost!
Alan has cleverly designed the model to ensure the easiest and therefore the most cost effective manner of casting and has assisted in ensuring the outstanding costs to the project are minimised.

We would like to have the formal unveiling of the statue at Achnacarry in Spring 2025 when it will be dedicated to all those Officers and Men that were killed or seriously wounded during Commando Training.

We are down to the wire now... the Commando Memorial Heritage Scott Sutherland - Commando Memorial Heritage Trail - Project near completion and we now need just the remaining costs of the bronze statue casting to complete the entire project!
