Calling local makers, creatives, artists and producers! 🛍️

We are inviting Artists & Makers to take part in our Culture Day Makers Market on Saturday 26th September.

Applications are now open for Makers Market Stalls at Findhorn Bay Festival 2026

This is your chance to showcase and sell your work as part of the festival celebrations, connecting with visitors and communities from across Moray and beyond 💛

We’re looking for:
🎨 Artists & illustrators
🕯️ Craft makers & designers
🧶 Handmade goods & unique creations
🌱 Sustainable and locally made products

There are a limited 5 spaces available and we will consider quality of work, price range of work and diversity of work when selecting.

There is a one off £25 charge for the stall.

BEACH OF DREAMS

Join us in creating a community artwork inspired by the Moray coastline! 🌊

In collaboration with artists Amy Neville and Eve Mosher, we invite you to creatively connect with the Moray coastline and contribute to a local artwork of batik silk pennants that will be displayed as part of the Findhorn Bay Festival.

📍 Hopeman Hall – Sat 4 July, 10am–4pm
📍 Burghead Community Hall – Sun 19 July, 10am–4pm

Then join us on Sunday 4 October in Findhorn for a special coastal walk and temporary beach installation featuring the finished artworks.

✨ Free to take part
✨ Places limited to 25 per workshop
✨ Suitable for ages 12+ (under 16s must be accompanied by an adult)

ARTIST MICRO COMMISSIONS

Want to help bring the streets and public spaces to life during Culture Day Forres as part of the Findhorn Bay Festival?

We are seeking ideas to help animate public space and invite audiences to encounter art in unexpected ways. We welcome a wide range of approaches from pop up street theatre or circus, face painting to street art, and hands-on or making activities for all to engage with.

Up to ten local professional artists will be commissioned. We particularly welcome proposals that are inclusive, accessible, and created especially for Culture Day Forres.

Successful applicants will receive:

💷 £250 artist fee
🎨 Up to £50 materials budget

📅 Activity will take place during Culture Day Forres on Saturday 26 September 2026
⏰ Deadline to apply: 5pm, Tuesday 30 June

JOIN A POP UP BAND FOR BRASS PLAYERS AND ASPIRING DRUMMERS 🎺🥁

Ever fancied performing as part of the Findhorn Bay Festival? Now’s your chance! 👀👇

Join Oi Musica, Golden Grooves Street Collective, and musicians from Moray Concert Brass for a fun, friendly workshop culminating in a high-energy finale performance for Culture Day Forres, part of the Findhorn Bay Festival.

Participation is free and is open to:
▪️Young people and adults, 10 years+
▪️Drummers & Percussionists — all levels welcome (instruments provided)
▪️Brass Players — at least 1 year of playing experience (please bring your own instrument)
Places are limited to 40 brass players and 30 drummers. Make sure to reserve your spot to get involved.

Workshop: Friday 25 September — 6pm–9pm
Warm-Up & Performance: Saturday 26 September — 12pm–2pm

Tickets are selling fast for this exciting family-friendly event featuring Hope, the incredible inflatable humpback whale from the WDC Scottish Dolphin Centre!

Taking place on the first Saturday of the school holidays, Measuring an impressive 13 metres long and 8 metres wide, Hope is a life-sized replica of a real humpback whale, inside and out.

Step inside the whale and discover more about humpback whale anatomy, how these magnificent creatures breathe, and the vital connection between whales and the health of our oceans.

Alongside Hope, there will be a variety of fun activities, information stalls, and opportunities to learn more about our marine environment.

Culture Day provides artists, creative community groups, creative businesses and arts, heritage and cultural organisations an opportunity to showcase their talents and the vibrancy of what happens locally all year round.

From performances, workshops, talks, screenings, and exhibitions to demonstrations, tours, or interactive displays, the idea is to share what you do in a way that feels open, engaging, and accessible to everyone.

Culture Day is a chance to ‘open your doors’, share what you do, and be part of a vibrant day across the town.
