Today's unexpected adventure ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ’œ

On the way home from Tae Kwon-Do we spotted this little dunnock sitting right in the middle of the road.

After a quick stop and a call to a local wildlife rescue for advice, we learned that he's actually a fledgling โ€“ which means he's old enough to be out of the nest, but not quite old enough to have mastered the art of making sensible life choices ๐Ÿ˜…

We moved him somewhere safer nearby and left him for Mum and Dad to find. Thankfully the rescue confirmed this is exactly what should be done.

A good reminder that if you find a feathered baby bird hopping around, it's often best to observe first and get advice before taking it home. The parents are usually still feeding and looking after them ๐Ÿฆ

A huge thank you to everyone who supported Moon & Macs over the weekend. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces and meet lots of new ones too.

I'm taking a quieter day today to recharge, cuddle the kitten, and start planning for the next few events:
