This week , we're taking part in Healing Arts Scotland. We love sharing creative moments where everyone can take part — no experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to explore.

Dance North is hosting a Youth Dance Summer School for ages 8–12. Expect a week full of energy, creativity, and new friendships, leading up to a fun showcase for family and friends!

RISE Festival Weekend may be over, but Global Indigenous Voices at RISE 2026 continues this week in Glasgow with our partners Tramway and The Work Room.

• Somatic Medicine & Dance with Daina Ashbee

• Gorgeous Tongue by Lara Kramer
7.30–8.40pm | Tramway, Glasgow
A powerful solo work rooted in Anishinaabe stories and dreams, honouring Indigenous transmission, transformation and futurity. The performance is followed by a conversation between Lara Kramer and Martha Hincapié Charry.

Thursday 4 & Friday 5 June
• Professional Contemporary Class with Gabriel Nieto
9.30–10.45am | Queens Park Govanhill Parish Church, Glasgow

• Serpentine by Daina Ashbee
2.00–4.00pm | Tramway, Glasgow
A durational installation performance exploring transformation, endurance, attention and reclamation through Ashbee's distinctive choreographic language. Audiences are invited to move through the space and experience the work from different perspectives.

Yesterday marked the final day of RISE Festival Weekend, bringing together artists, audiences, volunteers and communities for one last day of gathering, reflection and celebration in The Park Ecovillage, Findhorn.

Sunday began with moments of connection and sharing through Lara Kramer's Living Landscapes workshop. Throughout the day, conversations continued across the festival site, creating space for listening, learning and meaningful encounters between people, stories and perspectives.

Lara Kramer and RISE co-curator Martha Hincapié Charry were the featured artists of our final Dance North Conversations...podcast hosted by Paige Shand Haami.

In the afternoon and evening audiences came together for GUURANDA X RISE, a powerful meeting of artists, cultures and creative practices. Rooted in exchange, relationship and connection to place, GUURANDA X RISE offered a moving celebration of collaboration, bringing together local and international voices in a work shaped through time spent together in Moray.

As we closed the weekend with a Narungga smoking ceremony led by Jacob and the Guuranda X family, we were reminded of the values at the heart of RISE: cultural respect, environmental consciousness and care.

Over three days in Findhorn, artists and audiences came together to share and reflect on those values, creating moments of connection that will continue long after the festival has ended.

Thank you to everyone who travelled, participated, performed, volunteered, supported and joined us for RISE Festival Weekend. It has been such a privilege to share it together, and we very much hope to see you again next year.

There is still more to come as Global Indigenous Voices at RISE 2026 heads to Glasgow for our events and activities delivered in partnership with Tramway.

Day Two at RISE Festival Weekend 🌿

Another beautiful day of gathering, connection and exchange at Global Indigenous Voices at RISE 2026.

The day began with a participatory movement workshop led by Paige Shand Haami at Kinloss and Findhorn Parish Church, inviting participants into an exploration of connection, creativity and collective experience.

Paige then hosted Gary Lang in conversation, sharing reflections on artistic practice, cultural knowledge and exchange for our third Dance North Conversations... podcast from this year's RISE.

Artists, audiences, families and festival friends came together to share food, conversation and community at the RISE Family Picnic, with a guest appearance from the emu from GUURANDA X RISE.

Lara Kramer's powerful durational performance This Is the Place Where We Pray centred on reflection and connection to land.

The day concluded with an intense and captivating performance of Daina Ashbee's Serpentine, exploring transformation, presence and endurance.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for another inspiring day of RISE.
