3 years ago today I lost my best friend, my mum. Everything about my world changed after she passed and I miss her, every single day.

The reason I wanted to share this today is because I hadn't been able too when she left and even now I still find it difficult. But also, it's because so much of who I am is because of who she was and despite not sharing many personal things online, I wanted to share a little about her.

My mum loved her garden and pets the most but she was also a friend to everyone she knew. I'd always struggle to get through on the house phone as she'd be on the phone to a friend talking about her day or offering advice.

She had the dirtiest laugh and would snort when she couldn't catch her breath laughing.

My mum also wore wigs and had the largest most beautiful collection. She was also a hairdresser and would experiment with different styles and colours. She used to bleach my hair from the age of 14 as I was adamant I'd be blonde forever.

She practiced the same songs on the saxophone for years and that always seemed to be enough for her.

She loved Halloween and would tell you she was a witch. She tarot read on the side and was genuinely incredible at it.

Her style was quirky, sweet and sometimes outrageous, but I admired how brave and outgoing she was in that way. And she LOVED a charity shop and bought far too many clothes.

She was also the person who listened to me when I went through a divorce and furiously defended that I do what felt right for me. She'd share my highs and lows and always gave me the best advice she could.

These are only a few things about her and I could honestly write forever.

She was the most incredible, beautiful, funny, silly and adorable person I knew and I don't want her to be forgotten.

Such an inspiring weekend, I've definitely caught the convention bug!
