Buckley Singers The Buckley Singers has been established for over 100 years and attracts member from a wide area around Buckley, near Mold in North Wales.

Rehearsals are Thursday evening 7.30 - 9.00pm

Our next concert is to help raise funds for the restoration of the Whitley Chapel in St. Deiniol's Church, Hawarden.

The concert is the finale of the "Scents of Heaven" Flower Festival; it takes place on Saturday 18th June at 7pm in the church.

Tickets £10 to include wine and nibbles and entrance to the flower festival.

Practice tonight started at 7.30 …. We visited a number of continents in song in readiness for our contribution to the fete in June (check out the details on our website for St Deiniol’s Church).

We were singing Māori and then Deep South America and finally Rhythm of Life from Sweet Charity …. You know just for fun!

Holy moley it’s been quite a week! I’ve lost count of the storms… 3 I think and to finish it today there was snow in the air and Putin has decided to invade Ukraine.

To those of us here I hope there want too much storm damage and of course to those in the Ukraine stay safe in such a horrible time.

Tonight’s practice went really well again. It never ceases to amaze me how much singing lifts me up.

It’s been a really busy 10 days for the choir; we finally managed to hold our AGM some 18 months + overdue. We found some new reps on the committee and then last week we had our first 2022 normal meeting. Whilst it isn’t a very official choir it’s nice to have opinions from each section and to plan ahead for what we want to achieve.

We have seen 3 new members in the last 2 months which is fantastic and we welcome them all, let’s hope there are more of you out there!!!

The website has launched 🥳🎉. I’ll be endeavouring to keep the calendar up to date with our activities and some interesting little bites of us in the Five Minutes with section…… I hope you will find the time to take a look.
