Arun Sharma Poetry Growing up in Ulster in the 80s left us all, well, different. As an insider from the outside, I watched everything.

The poems capture my ghost memories of some of the people, the times, the funerals, the horrors, the laughs, the laughs, the laughs.

The trinity, composed of the world of Ireland's ancient Gods, the seat of the High Queens and Kings, and the realities of present-day conflicts, bears its teeth in unexpected ways. On the discovery of a staue of Nuada, ancient god-king of Ulster, in my home village, Tandragee, the surrounding lands revealed another chapter on its place in history. But do the folk of Tandragee have time for it today? Have we lost touch with these ancient voices?

Arun Sharma's latest collection, Somebody out there Hates You, is available from ebay and all good Bristolian bookshops. Join us for the official launch on Wednesday 20th May, at The Star in Fishponds, Bristol, 6.30pm.

It's been a year to the day that A Twelve Point Plan was released, and thanks to relentless support from my wife, from Alberto OM @ Aout Fecit, and from an unparalleled poetry scene in Bristol, I'm so pleased to announce the release of my second collection, Somebody out there Hates You. Available via Aout Fecit, from ebay and a growing number of local bookshops, I'm blown away to think that my work will be in people's hands again. Thank-you all.

Expect details of a book launch date coming soon, and an updated list of bookshops stocking the new collection.

Shout out to Alberto at Aout Fecit for the poster.

On Brigid's Day, or Brig or Brighid, we are offered a period of inspiration, smithcraft and, in Ireland, a goddess of poetry and verse. She also, through ancient times to the present, provides healing to all. And with that reflexion, a poem that centres on the heartache of loved ones left battling tides from oceans of grief. Healing may not happen in this lifetime. Just a thought.

The final few copies of the first edition of A Twelve Point Plan to Improve Irish Happiness are available from ebay and from East Bristol Books, and Gloucester Road Books, Bristol.

Has been almost a year to the day when I signed the final proof off.
