We're delighted to announce that on Saturday 10th October, FADS will be welcoming The Wee Perthshire Dram-a Company to Fintry, where they will be staging two plays by Blairgowrie-based playwright, Keith Mackenzie.

First up will be a A Thousand Invisible Choices, which reached the Scottish Final of this year’s SCDA One-Act Festival and won the Scott Salver Award for best new play. It also won the Geoffrey Whitworth Trophy for best original short play 2026, awarded at the British Finals.

A group of us from FADS travelled up to Blairgowrie last month to see the play performed in its home town, thoroughly enjoyed it, and thought it was well worth bringing it to our Fintry audience!

Following an interval, there will then be a rehearsed reading of Happily Ever Laughter, another of Keith’s original scripts.

Wee Perthshire was only formed at the end of last year and they have already achieved great things, so we're delighted to help spread the word about them.

A big thanks to everyone who came along to the AGM last week to help elect our new committee and get some plans in place for 2026/27.Gavin, Ellen and Rosie stepped down after two years, as did our Secretary, Helen. Siobhan has now taken on the role of Secretary, and we've been joined by Chris, Louis...

A little reminder that it's our AGM tomorrow evening - 7.30pm until about 9pm in the Lesser Hall.

If you are or would like to be an active member of the club, please do come along to this annual get together, where we review the past 12 months and plan the year ahead. We also need to formally elect our Committee and would love to have some new faces on board!

The creative team for this year's panto is already in place and beavering away behind the scenes, but we're still looking for other production ideas for 2026/27 and talented people to make them happen.

The Three Musketeers

"It's a great, fast-paced comedy, with 4 cast members playing 30 roles in 35 scenes telling the story pretty close to the original book. We'll use three stages as we travel from England to France for our cast to join the Musketeers, who had just been disbanded..."
