I had the honour of tattooing my lovely friend Veega all over again last week 🖤
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This time we went for a fresh lash enhancement and a brow colour boost — and after the swelling had finally done its thing… she LOVED her new lashes! 😅🫶🏻

It honestly blows my mind that it’s been over a year since I did my PMU brow training with Sara Duane Permanent Cosmetics 😱

What started as something I was excited to learn has grown into such a huge part of my life, and I feel ridiculously lucky to have had so many amazing women trust me with their faces, support my work and come back to me again and again.

And the best part? I’ve met some genuinely awesome women along the way who I can now actually call friends 🥹🖤

I was SO excited to give Barbara her new brows today! 🖤

Barbara has been part of the over-plucked club for decades and finally got fed up with wasting time pencilling them in every single morning.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So… she came to me🫶🏻
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
She’s bruised quite easily because she’s a sensitive soul (completely normal!), so these brows are looking a little dramatic right now. Once the swelling and bruising settle, we’ll really see them soften beautifully. Then at her retouch next month we’ll see how she’s retained the pigment and perfect them even further.

But even at this stage… look at that transformation🤩 The new shape has lifted her features, framed her eyes and given her such a fresh, more youthful look.

I had the pleasure of giving my lovely friend Allison a fresh set of combination brows at her own salon, AS Aesthetics, today ✍🏻🖤

She had some old microblading that had faded over the years. The pigment had spread a little, giving more of a soft powder brow look, and it had also healed quite cool in tone. We colour corrected the old pigment with a warmer tone and created a fresh new shape with crisp hair strokes and soft shading to bring everything back to life 🤩

It’s amazing what changing the shape of a brow can do!

Katie didn’t come to me because she wanted bigger brows. She wanted brows that suited her face.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Before, her natural brows sat quite flat, with the tails extending horizontally. By carefully redesigning the shape, I lifted the arch and brought the tails up slightly, creating the illusion of more lifted, open eyes and a softer, more sculpted look 👀

Katie also has one very dominant brow muscle on her right side. Even with Botox, she found it difficult to achieve balanced brows because that muscle naturally pulls and moves differently👆🏻👉🏻

That’s why brow mapping isn’t something I do with your face completely still. We spent time raising her brows, frowning and making different facial expressions throughout the mapping process to make sure the design stayed as balanced as possible when her face was moving—not just while she was lying on the treatment bed.

Eirene came back in for her retouch just over a month after her initial combination brow appointment ✨

Eirene is half Greek and half English, meaning we were working with a skin type that can be a little more unpredictable when it comes to retention. Oilier, Mediterranean skin types often don’t hold pigment quite as readily, whilst fairer skin can sometimes be more reactive during treatment.

During her initial appointment, Eirene was also quite a bleeder, which can make it harder for pigment to implant and retain in the skin.

Taking all of that into account, I was actually really pleased with how her brows healed! 🖤

Going into her retouch, we already knew how her skin had responded the first time around, so we adjusted our approach slightly… and WOW 👀 The result straight off the needle was so much better this time around.

She’ll likely need a second retouch in a couple of months to perfect everything, but I think we absolutely nailed the direction this time 👌🏻

This is exactly why I insist on including a retouch within the initial cost of all of my PMU treatments. Permanent makeup is a journey in two parts, not a one-and-done treatment.

Less is always more. Beautiful, long-lasting results come from carefully layering pigment over multiple appointments rather than trying to achieve everything in a single session ✨
