Departure Announcement from The Imperial
To all my wonderful customers, both old and new,
I am writing to share the news that I have officially left The Imperial.
As much as I have enjoyed serving you all and getting to know this fantastic community, it is no longer possible for me to operate without the necessary backing from the management company. Unfortunately, a continuous lack of support and standard maintenance has made staying untenable.
The living accommodation has fallen well below acceptable standards, and as many of you know, environmental health recently required the pub to close temporarily due to structural building issues. These matters are entirely in the hands of the management company to resolve. Following the major leak last Friday (which you can see in my previous post), the situation has simply become unsustainable. Despite being told this was a priority and that an electrician would arrive this week, seven days have now passed with no communication or action.
For my own wellbeing, it is time to say goodbye to this chapter. Thank you all so much for your support, your laughs, and your custom. I am sure I will see many of you around town!
