🫏 When the job requires exactly zero donkeys to help! 😂

Jake has appointed himself Health & Safety Manager! He may be a favourite with our visitors, but someone needs to tell him that supervising the humans isn’t actually part of his job description! ❤️ 😂

💧🌿 Freshly showered and looking stunning! 🌿💧

🦜Clapton, our Red-crested Turaco is showing off his incredible colours after a splash in the pond. Native to southern Africa, these fruit-loving birds spend most of their lives amongst the treetops. 🌳

📸 Isn't he beautiful? ❤️

🌧️ Today has been good weather for ducks 🦆

We certainly seem to have plenty of them making the most of the wildlife pond!

🦜 Why now is a great time to visit Filey Zoo! 🦘

Looking for a lovely day out without the hustle and bustle? Now is a fantastic time to come and enjoy Filey Zoo!

✨ More peaceful visits - enjoy a slower, more relaxed day exploring the zoo.

☀️ Still feeling summery – make the most of the lovely late-summer weather and enjoy time outdoors.

☕ Less queuing for coffee & cake – because every great day at the zoo needs a little treat! 🍰

🐆 Front row views at feeding talks – with fewer visitors around, you can get a brilliant view of our animals and hear all about them throughout the day. 🐒

🌸 The gardens are still looking amazing – there’s plenty of colour and beautiful scenery to enjoy as you wander around.

So, if you’ve been thinking about visiting, now could be the perfect time! 🐾

Come and enjoy a more relaxed day at Filey Zoo – we’ll see you soon!

🏆We're delighted to have once again received a Gold Award in Britain in Bloom - Yorkshire Tourist Attractions category! 🌿

The judges praised the zoo, commenting:

'There are many examples of horticultural excellence throughout...'

'There are skilful design touches at every corner and exciting plans for future
development...'

'The site is managed in harmony with nature and with conservation and sustainability in mind.'

🌸While "Garden" is no longer part of our name, our gardens remain one of the areas of the zoo we're most proud of. Watching them change throughout the seasons and flourish year after year is truly rewarding. 🌷

🏅This Gold Award is a testament to the commitment and expertise of the small team, and we couldn't be more proud of what has been achieved. 🌼
