What a gorgeous morning spent painting en plein air beside the water. 💚

There’s something rather special about stepping away from the everyday, setting up an easel in beautiful surroundings and simply taking the time to look, observe and paint.

A morning of gentle guidance, creative concentration, good company and plenty of inspiration from nature. 🌳🦆🌿

And watching everyone’s paintings develop was such a joy — each one completely individual, capturing their own little piece of this beautiful place.

A huge thank you to Sue for your wonderful guidance and encouragement. 🥰

Sometimes the best kind of art lesson is simply a beautiful place, a paintbrush in your hand and the time to slow down. 🎨✨

It’s so picturesque at Sturminster Newton Mill. We had a great morning trying to capture the beautiful scenery and landscape.

A fun morning making a bejewelled keepsake box. We prepped, planned and created a beautiful jewellery box with gems , ribbon, sequins etc. everyone went home with a special trinket box and a certificate of achievement. .

In a world of screens and busy schedules, these workshops offer something different…

🌿 Small, calm groups (maximum of just 4 children)

💛 Time to explore creativity without pressure

Whether your child already loves art or simply needs a confidence boost, every session is designed so they leave feeling proud of what they’ve created.

📅 Wednesdays throughout August
🕘 9am–12 midday or 1pm–4pm
💷 £30 per session (all materials included)

Booking is essential because each workshop is limited to just four children, allowing plenty of individual support.

🎨 Only a few places remain!

My Summer Creative Workshops in Ferndown are nearly full, and I’d love to welcome a few more young artists.

These aren’t large, noisy craft sessions. I keep my workshops intentionally small so every child receives plenty of individual encouragement and guidance, building confidence while learning real artistic techniques in a calm, friendly and inspiring environment.

Whether your child already loves art or simply enjoys being creative, they’ll leave with artwork they’re genuinely proud of—and hopefully lots of happy memories too.

✨ Suitable for children aged 8–12.
