Sister Sheila working on her painting.

Sister Sheila is a retired nun who now lives at the Jesus and Mary convent in . Sheila is herself an art teacher and has taught all over the world before her retirement.

Sheila came along to my class when it was based in the British Legion Club. It was a bit dark and felt more like a pub than a teaching venue.

Thanks to Shelia, I was able to move the class to the convent in 2017. It's a great venue....and very handy for Sheila, who lives upstairs. She is always set up and ready to paint when I arrive.

A natural artists, her work is unique and has the confidence of someone who has spent many years enjoying painting.
