Thank you to our wonderful audience at our concert dedicated to the memory of our co-founder, Don Goodsell. We were proud to perform Remom Giazotto's Adagio in G minor (attributed to Albinoni) with Patti Hicks Whaley playing the organ and The Seafarer written by our conductor, Peter Aviss.

Don Goodsell’s funeral will be on Wednesday 15th April at 11.30am in St Peter’s Church, Oare ME13 0QB, after which will be a small committal service at Faversham Crematorium.

(No flowers, but donations to St Peter’s Church or Pilgrims Hospice. Please see links below.)

This will be followed by a light lunch at the Castle Pub in Oare at 1.30/2.00pm.

Everyone is welcome.

Dear OSO fans, our Co-founder and President Don Goodsell died peacefully in his sleep last night. Don had immense love and pride for OSO; of all his projects and interests OSO was his chief love and his best legacy. It is so fitting that our next concert features Peter’s composition The Seafarer, which he dedicated to Don.

I will let you know details of the funeral service in due course.

Our own Iva Fleischhansová and Mark Butler will perform duets:
Friday 20th February, 3pm at St Mildred's Church, Canterbury.

Programme to include music by our conductor and director, Peter Aviss.

It may be raining on Friday afternoon, so perfect time to come and spend an hour listening to music for 2 violins and enjoy homemade cakes.

The concert is titled French Connections and on the programme are works by Honegger, Milhaud, Martinu, Viotti, Peter Aviss and arrangements of French and English folksongs.
