In just two weeks, we'll be taking to the stage for MSDA Presents: A World of Elements 🌍🔥💧🌪️

The dances are looking fantastic, costumes have started arriving ahead of next week's photoshoot day, and excitement is building with every rehearsal 💜
We genuinely can't wait for you all to see what our incredible dancers have been working so hard on over the past few months.

✨ COSTUME WEEK REMINDER ✨

As costumes begin making their way home next week, we'd like to remind everyone that these are hire costumes and need a little extra TLC 💜

Please help us keep them in the best possible condition by following these simple rules:
👗 Hang all costumes up neatly and keep them inside a costume bag. 💡 Top tip: Use sandwich bags to store small accessories and hang them with the correct costume!
🍔 No eating while wearing costumes.
💧 Water only when in costume — no squash, fizzy drinks, juice, or other coloured drinks
💄 Please avoid getting makeup on the costumes when getting stage ready

Many of these costumes are hired from external companies and are not property of MSDA, so taking care of them helps everything run smoothly for everyone involved.

🎭 MSDA ARE DOING A PANTOMIME! 🎭
OH YES WE ARE! ✨

We're thrilled to announce auditions for the very first MSDA Pantomime, and we're looking for heroes, villains, dames, sidekicks, and stars to join the cast!
Whether you're an experienced performer or looking to take your first steps onto the stage, this is your chance to be part of a brand-new MSDA tradition filled with laughter, music, dancing, and plenty of panto magic 🌟

📅 Tuesday 30th June
📍 West Faversham Community Centre
👑 Ages 8-11: 17:30-18:15
👑 Ages 12-18: 18:15-19:15

✨ Open to both MSDA and non-MSDA pupils
📧 All auditionees not currently enrolled in an MSDA Musical Theatre class must email to confirm attendance.
🎭 Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays each week

💫 Bapchild & Tonge CE Primary School Dance Day 💫

We recently had the joy of delivering a dance workshop day at Bapchild and Tonge CE Primary School, led by our lovely Miss Courtney 💜

It was a brilliant day full of energy, creativity, and smiles, and we’re so glad to hear the children left feeling inspired to keep dancing ✨
A huge thank you to everyone involved for making us feel so welcome — days like these are exactly why we love sharing dance in schools 🩰

Super excited as now our pupils can audition, register ASAP!!

Due to overwhelming demand, we’ve added a second audition date for this year’s Juvenile Ensemble at 7pm on Monday 6 July (Baby Bear auditions will be on Sunday 5 July only).

This is a great opportunity for anyone unable to make the Sunday auditions to come along! Please note that there are only twenty spaces available for our Monday evening auditions due to space constraints and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

💜 A lovely little MSDA moment 💜

Last weekend, our Preparatory and Primary Ballet & Tap dancers popped in to watch our Advanced 1 Ballet class rehearse their show dance ✨

It was so special to see the younger dancers watching in awe, taking in every step and dreaming about the day they'll be performing dances like this themselves.
Just as lovely was seeing our senior dancers encouraging the younger pupils and showing them what years of hard work, dedication, and love for dance can achieve 💫

These moments of inspiration, support, and community are such a special part of being an MSDA dancer 🫶
