We’re delighted to give a big Hop Festival shout-out to The Bear Inn – thank you for supporting Faversham Hop Festival! 💚🌿

You really couldn’t ask for a better spot during Hop Festival weekend. Sitting right in Market Place, The Bear is one of Faversham’s historic pubs and describes itself as just a short “hop” from the Shepherd Neame brewery – very appropriate! 🍺

Our 150 Club supporters play such an important part in helping us put on the festival, and we’re incredibly grateful to have another much-loved Faversham pub getting behind us.

So, a huge THANK YOU to everyone at The Bear for supporting the Hop Festival and an extra special mention to Brad for giving us so much help with programme distribution this year. We’ll raise a pint to you! 🍻🐻💚

This time we’re turning up the volume for Saturnalia Records and saying a huge Thank you for your continued support of Faversham Hop Festival! 🌿🍻

Saturnalia is a brilliant independent record shop on Market Street and a real treasure trove for music lovers, with new and second-hand vinyl, band merchandise, retro clothing, accessories and plenty of other interesting finds. They’re passionate about music and even host live in-store events. 🎸🎵

With live music playing such a huge part in Hop Festival, we love having a local business that shares that passion for music supporting the event. 💚

🍻🌿 150 Club Thank you – The Albion! 🌿🍻

Next up in our Hop Festival 150 Club thank yous is the fabulous Albion Taverna – thank you for getting behind Faversham Hop Festival! 💚

Sitting in a rather lovely spot on the banks of Faversham Creek, The Albion combines a traditional Kentish pub with a menu full of Mexican flavours alongside British favourites. And, of course, there’s plenty of locally brewed beer too – their Shepherd Neame ales travel just 300 yards from brewery to glass! 🍺

With its waterside setting, great food, beer and welcoming atmosphere, it’s a cracking place to escape the festival crowds for a while, refuel and raise a glass before heading back into the action. 🎶🍻

Celebrating the one and only Dolly Parton

Today the world feels a little less sparkly, but what an incredible amount of joy Dolly Parton leaves behind.

From Jolene and 9 to 5 to I Will Always Love You, Dolly gave us songs that became part of our lives - but her legacy goes far beyond the music. She brought warmth, wit, kindness and a whole lot of rhinestones wherever she went.

A brilliant songwriter, entertainer, businesswoman and philanthropist, Dolly showed that you could be fabulously larger-than-life while never losing sight of the people around you.

So rather than only being sad that she's gone, today we're turning the music up and celebrating 80 years of Dolly.

An absolute original. There'll never be another quite like her.

Rest in peace, Dolly. And thank you for the music.

🍺🌿 A big 150 club cheer to Furlongs! 🌿🍺

We couldn’t celebrate the businesses supporting this year’s Hop Festival without giving a shout-out to Furlongs Ale House on Preston Street!

Furlongs is a proper little ale-lover’s gem – an independent micropub serving a regularly changing selection of cask ales, with a particular focus on beers from Kent’s microbreweries. You’ll also find cider, craft beer, wine and gin, plus a covered garden out the back. 🍻

Furlongs have been long-term supporters of Faversham Hop Festival, and it means a great deal to us to have local businesses who continue to get behind the event year after year. Their ongoing support through the 150 Club is very much appreciated. 💚

So here’s a big Thank you to everyone at Furlongs for continuing to support Faversham Hop Festival – we’re very grateful to have you as part of it! 🙌🍺🌿

A big Faversham Hop Festival THANK YOU today goes to The Railway Hotel for supporting this year’s festival as part of our 150 Club! 🌿💚

Sitting right opposite Faversham train station, The Railway has been welcoming locals and visitors for over 150 years – making it a familiar first stop (and perhaps last stop!) for plenty of people heading into town.

With its traditional Victorian bar, hanging hops and plenty of Shepherd Neame’s Kentish ales and lagers behind the bar, it certainly feels at home during Hop Festival weekend! 🍺🌿

And with live music part of what The Railway offers too, it’s another great Faversham pub to have on your radar over the festival. 🎶

Today we’re raising a glass to The The Sun Inn and saying a huge THANK YOU for supporting Faversham Hop Festival as part of our 150 Club! 🌿💚

Dating back to the 14th century, The Sun is packed with character, from its oak beams and inglenook fireplaces to its lovely courtyard garden. And being just a short stroll from Shepherd Neame Brewery, it’s also a great place to enjoy a pint of locally brewed Kentish ale – particularly appropriate for Hop Festival weekend! 🍺

Whether you’re popping in for a drink, grabbing something to eat or staying in one of their 12 bedrooms, The Sun is one of those wonderful Faversham pubs that visitors and locals alike know and love. ☀️
