If you Live in the North or the South there are two opportunities coming up to see my work
It’s been a very busy week as it’s OPEN STUDIOS next weekend and Polly and I have our exhibition in London coming up too eek . If anyone on here lives in London or Surrey or near Hampton Court we would LOVE and quite frankly be very grateful if you’d come and say hi to us in The Fountain Gallery it’s near Hampton Court on Bridge Street and Polly and I will be there every day for two weeks 13 th-25 October so it would be LOVELY to see some familiar faces .
If you’re nearer to home then Open Studios 11/13th Sept is your best opportunity to see my studio in the Twisting Studios at Sunny Bank Mills . There will be a lot going on so head up the hill and look out for our sign and flowerpots by the Mending Room door on the right half way up the hill ! Right I’m at home today and tomorrow as Marks off to Wales so it’s time to do some of the million of other things that need doing. HAPPY SUNDAY !

It’s a busy busy time as Open Studios is coming up and so we all have to tidy up and keep working ! There are 49 artists and makers at Sunny Bank Mills now which is fabulous so if you’d like to come and see us up in the Twisting Studios you will find us either by coming up in the lift in the Mending Rooms or by walking up the hill from the main gallery to the top and turning right just follow the signs !❤️🥰🥰🥰

Well there’s nothing like coming back off holiday and feeling as though you now have a very steep mountain to climb . I now have nose to canvas painting for our joint show The Fountain Gallery on Oct 13 th , I’ve discovered Opera Red the most gorgeous vivid red oil paint and am celebrating the wonderful echinacea that are very drought resistant . Which we all need at the moment on our gardens. I hope some of you have had some rain a last I can’t wait to see green grass again !!
We do also have Leeds Open Studios coming up on the 12 th and 13 th of September so look forward to whose coming to that too Artist

One of my happy places is sitting out in my garden particularly at night . Yesterday what with the eclipse, an owl flying over repeatedly and bats and meteors it was a night that kept on giving ! I love how looking at the sky reminds of how insignificant we are in the universe. I know some people don’t like that but I actually find that a comfort as sometimes we get so tangled up and consumed with worries in everyday life. But really when you look to the sky and realise that we are just another bit of dust floating about each day everything’s just fine !!!!

I’ve been a bit quiet as I’m a very busy bee trying to get ready for our exhibition The Fountain Gallery before going on holiday . I’m having lots of paintings photographed tomorrow so it’s been time to FINISH THINGS ! We’ve also been visiting so great private gardens as part of the National Garden Scheme . If you haven’t ever visited one just find them on line and give it a whirl !

It’s been a busy day in the studio today I started off varnishing a large canvas . I looove how the varnish brings back all the glow . Then we visited two more gardens as part of the and I fell in love again with Zinnias so started a new large floral that’s going to be in pastel . Cup of tea now ! Just a reminder that my studio will be open as part of Leeds Open Studio 13th/14th September
