🎵 GAMINI KHURANA - MUSIC 🎶

(they/she) is a 24 year old, Indian singer-songwriter/musician currently based in Leeds. A free-flowing artist who writes songs that feel true to themself, they bare their soul through the music they create.

With a fusion of influences ranging from Joni Mitchell to Noah Kahan and indian folk music, Gamini invites their listeners to explore the depths of emotion and the universality of their lived experiences, creating an intimate and introspective musical experience.

🦷 PLAQUE & POLITICS 🎭

Our second theatre act to be announced is ‘Plaque & Politics’:

“When Gareth returns to front line politics after losing the war on plaque, the last thing he wants is to be reminded of that. Working with his childhood friend, Harry, the two of them attempt to navigate modern politics. They try to face populism head on, but that’s difficult when you are not very popular.”

Written by Cameron Strefford
Directed by Em Dulson .dulson
Performed by Levi Payne and Joe Drye .drye

🎣 DONE UP LIKE A KIPPER 🎭

Our first theatre piece to be announced is ‘Done Up Like A Kipper’ written by Sean Webster, directed by Rachael Halliwell and performed by Izzie Smith.

“An impressionable 11-year-old girl reveres her striking father’s defiance and leadership during the 1984 miner’s dispute. As Christmas approaches, deep fractures appear in her family and the divided community.”

This piece came through our callout earlier this year, and with the combination of excellent writing and a top creative team we think we’re onto a winner!

🎭 MICK TICKNER - COMEDY 🎤

Our first act announcement for this year’s Christmas run is the outstanding stand-up

Mick Tickner has recently been nominated for Best Newcomer at the Yorkshire Comedy Awards after performing across the north of England for the last 18 months - delighting audiences with his brand of daft stories.

He even comes with the seal of approval of former Arts at the Arms act and legend of the scene who said of Mick:

“Kind, inclusive and gentlemanly, Mick brings a new level of authority to daftness, with deft writing and performance skills. Keep an eye out for him: he’s in the ascendant, and that is a good thing for comedy.”
