✨ A little studio update ✨

A little behind-the-scenes update from Leela Rose 🤍

As a small, bespoke business, I’m always committed to creating your keepsakes with the same care, attention to detail and beautiful finishes that I’m so proud to offer.

My professional framer has recently increased their prices, effective from 1st September. As framing forms part of the overall cost of each finished piece, this means there has been a small increase to the overall price of some designs.

The lovely news is that my casting prices themselves are remaining unchanged. 🤍

Each piece is completely bespoke, with your final price made up of the casting, your chosen frame and any personalisation or additional details you decide to include.

Already booked or quoted? Nothing changes for you. 🤍

All existing bookings, previously agreed prices and quotes will be fully honoured, so if you’ve already booked your appointment or received a quote from me, you don’t need to worry about the new framing costs.

The updated framing prices will take effect from 7th September, giving anyone who has been thinking about booking a little time to get in touch before the new prices come into effect.

Thank you, as always, for supporting my little business and trusting me to create such precious keepsakes for you and your families. Every single piece means so much to me, and I’m incredibly grateful to be part of these special moments. 🤍

Last night we had the privilege of visiting the hospital to capture some precious memories for a beautiful family going through an incredibly difficult time.

It was truly an honour to be able to offer them something meaningful to hold onto forever during such a heartbreaking moment.

Their family has also set up a GoFundMe to help support them through this time. If you’re able to donate, share, or simply keep them in your thoughts, it would mean so much. ❤️

Every bit of support, no matter how small, truly makes a difference. 🫶

Where have we been?! 👀

If you’ve noticed we’ve been a little quiet on social media lately… there’s a very good reason.

Running a small business is HARD. And I think one of the biggest misconceptions is that when you work for yourself, you can just pick and choose your hours, work part-time and have loads of free time.
😂😂😂 I WISH.

The reality is that running a small business is much more like a 24/7 job. There is ALWAYS something that needs doing, and unfortunately, social media has slowly slipped further and further down the to-do list. 🫣

Because while you’re seeing the finished, beautiful keepsakes, there’s a whole lot happening behind the scenes to get them there…
✨ Arranging appointments
✨ Answering enquiries and messages
✨ Taking bookings & deposits
✨ Holding appointments
✨ Keeping customers updated
✨ Casting those tiny hands, feet, paws & precious details
✨ Sanding, sealing, painting & finishing every single cast
✨ Ordering materials
✨ Ordering personalised plaques and engraved pieces
✨ Liaising with suppliers
✨ Framing and mounting
✨ Arranging collections
✨ Memorial appointments & call-outs
✨ Accounts and admin (the really fun stuff 😴)
✨ And about 847 other little jobs that nobody sees!

And somewhere amongst all of that, I’m also trying to actually run the business.

So… we’ve hired some help with social media. 👏🏼

I’ll try to post more whenever I can, because I know how much you love seeing the beautiful little hands, feet, paws and precious memories we create here at Leela Rose. 🤍
So if I disappear again for a few weeks (or months 👀), just know I’m probably buried under a pile of casts, surrounded by frames, covered in plaster dust and frantically replying to messages. 😂

But behind the scenes, we are BUSY. And we are so incredibly grateful. 🥹🤍

I am incredibly proud to work alongside the amazing Tracy West and the Outreach Play Service, creating precious keepsakes for families during some of the most challenging times of their lives.
Tracy's compassion, dedication and commitment to supporting children and their families is truly inspiring, and this award couldn't have gone to a more deserving person. It is a privilege to play a small part alongside such an incredible service.

Today we had the honour of being at R. Fox & Sons for a very special and emotional memorial casting.

It’s difficult to put into words moments like these. Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with the family during this unimaginable time. Being trusted to create something so meaningful is a privilege we never take lightly.

We would also like to say how incredibly wonderful and accommodating the whole team at R Fox & Sons were. Their compassion, professionalism, and gentle care created a calm and supportive environment for everyone involved. It’s clear how deeply they care for the families they serve.

This beautiful hand and foot cast is of Layla at 14 months 🫶✨

So many people think casting is just for newborns… but that’s not true at all. Baby casting can be done at any age — from those tiny newborn fingers to cheeky toddlers and beyond.

It’s never too late to capture those little details before they change. The curls of their fingers, the tiny lines in their hands, the way they fit perfectly in yours 🤍

Every age tells a story. And every stage deserves to be remembered.
