In 2017 after more than 20 success

ful years of running the shows Andy and Di McInness hung up their boots and Anna and Richard Miller have taken over the Farnham show. About Richard Miller:
Richard is a maker in his own right, with an MA in contemporary craft from the UCA in Farnham, Richard has been an established name in the locality for some years. As owner and Director of Froyle tiles, a tile company specializing in the bespoke and speciality market, Richard’s core business was based in the Farnham Pottery at Wrecclesham for many years, before outgrowing the premises. Now in Hambledon, Froyle tiles has produced numerous prestigious projects including tiles for building facades in Savile Row and the Tate Gallery, St Ives, restoration projects for Watts Gallery, film and production sets, as well as Nando’s restaurants, Waitrose, Marks and Spencer and multiple private and international commissions. He is also renowned for his informative talks and demonstrations, as well as his appearance on the Great British Pottery Throw Down, as a technician and Judge. About Anna Miller:
Anna is a fine Art Graduate, also from the UCA Farnham. Anna has a life long passion for horses and is now a full time Dressage rider, trainer and international para coach. Following a successful career in publishing and advertising, Anna still has a keen interest in all things creative. Both Anna and Richard have a long standing connection with the area and a passion for creative enterprises. Taking on Art in Clay Farnham was particularly important to them, as they feel passionate about ensuring a future platform for contemporary Ceramics in the Farnham area. Art in Clay Farnham is set in the fantastic Farnham Maltings; an indoor venue in a beautiful, period building, The Maltings is a hub of creativity and one of the leading Art centres in the South, with a diverse offering for all things creative in Surrey. Art in Clay Farnham is an accessible venue, with excellent facilities and on site catering. The show is perfectly timed for Christmas, at the end of November.

We’re thrilled to announce that Kate Sampson is the Potclays People’s Choice winner at this year’s Art in Clay Farnham!

Coming from an illustration background Kate’s work focuses on clean ceramic forms with uplifting hand decoration. Influenced by traditional folk art, her themes centre around animals and the natural world. Our visitors were clearly drawn to the originality and expressive quality of her work, and their votes speak volumes.

A special thank you to Potclays, who sponsor this award and have generously provided Kate with a complimentary stand at next year’s show as part of her prize.

Well deserved, Kate—your artistry truly resonated.
