As we reflect on the summer and the season ahead, we are thrilled to announce that our play ‘Like A Virgin’ in February 2025, received awards at the Kent Drama Festival this year. We put our heart and soul into every play that we put on as a group and are thrilled to announce that we won some awards at the latest festival.
We have an exciting year ahead, kicking off with Steven Moffat’s ‘The Unfriend’ from the 30th October to the 1st November 2025. Tickets on sale soon. We couldn’t do what we do without your support, and we are so proud of what we have achieved, so a massive thank you to everyone that supports FDS, past and present, we are so excited for the season to come ❤️.

Today we said goodbye to the wonderful Tania. Tan had been a member of FDS for 23 years, appearing in a number of performances in that time. Her recent roles included the glamorous Steffy in 'I Ought To Be In Pictures', which she was absolutely made for! And Elvira in her much loved 'Blithe Spirit'. A role which she absolutely excelled at and took on with true Tania gusto! Even after needing to step back from treading the boards, Tan remained as our dedicated box office & house manager, always ensuring our audience were comfortable, with strict plans to make sure everyone got their favourite seat! Our FDS family will miss Tania tremendously, but consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have known her, and to have such wonderful memories to look back on.
