SOLD. I was very pleased that someone enjoyed my picture that they bought it at the Faringdon Arts Society exhibition.

Today is the last day, I have learnt a lot from the experience and will be carrying on .

Longcot church door.

This is the initial transition between ink with watercolour, using watercolour pencils. Ok but feel that the real watercolour paint is better.

All Saints Faringdon.

Last year I received the largest and most favourable response from my line drawings I did 40 years ago.

After being inspired by my mother in law and Jim Moir to paint in watercolor - a medium I always avoided as everything turned brown - I find that if I paint on the thickest paper it doesn't go all crinkly.

So here's my first attempt at marrying the two mediums.

Knowing that Tolkien was inspired by many places in Oxfordshire, I wonder if this inspired the door "Speak friend and enter".

I wanted to create something that reminded me of Spanish ceramics and so Sand, sea and sky was born. If it doesn't sell it will go on the wall over the bed in our spare bedroom

So I was using pouring acyrilic and leaving it to dry, hiding away behind stuff so that the cat didn't find it and... Cat did find it, caught him red pawed. Now red footprints around the house!!!!!

New test piece Juxtaposition magic carpet. I'm creating a piece for my friend Lorraine and she asked for colours from a Persian carpet. I usually choose colours very different from each other, but I wanted to use new materials and build up the shapes and see how it turned out. Have to say that I quite like the similar colours. I'm using pouring acrylic for her piece.

Well this new test piece Juxtaposition Pabu was an experiment with layers. Also it's an experiment with words. I don't like stuff like live, love, laugh, but by putting a name in is very personal. Pabu by the way is Lisa's ginger cat 🐈 who breaks in and sings us love songs early in the morning.😂
