Devastated to hear this, John was such a lovely, lovely man. We were so privileged to have Eddi and John at Forest Folk over the last couple of years. One of the best. Heartbroken for Eddi xx

We are devastated to inform all of you that we have lost our dear friend and brother John after a brief illness. John died peacefully in the early hours of Monday the 3rd August 2026, surrounded by loved ones, his beautiful voice and songs filling the room.

A wonderful Wickham Festival this last weekend, with some special highlights and great performances from the Gilkicker Weevils, the John Jones Trio, and The Courtiers - and many, many more besides .....

A big shout out for the Gilkicker Weevils who will be appearing in the Big Top (Main Stage 1) at Wickham Festival on Saturday 1 August at 1 pm ..... with their stories and songs from Hampshire, what better way to enjoy the afternoon!

These guys were so popular last December, and deservedly so, we had to ask them back and they were delighted to accept - Man The Lifeboats will be back at Forest Folk on Monday 14 December for a great cracker of an evening ..... we can't wait .....

An enchanted summer's evening with Phil Beer at Forest Folk last night .... with an amazing opening set from Paid on the Nail .... so many thanks to everyone who came along and made it an evening to remember ....
