What is it about multi million pound businesses that think it’s ok to ask small businesses to provide a service for nothing but exposure? H Samuel called me today to offer me the “opportunity” to face paint at their children’s event for free as it would be good advertising for me. Why would I want to make a multi million pound business more money by making them look generous and family orientated with no financial benefit to me? It absolutely grinds my gears. Last week it was Cineworld offering me a similar ‘deal’ of free cinema tickets and junk food. Exposure, tickets and junk food don’t pay the bills and it’s so unethical of these large companies to expect small businesses to support them for no reward. 🤬 H.Samuel and Cineworld Cinemas look forward to your comments.
