We opened our rehearsal on Saturday to anyone who wanted to come and play with us and it was a great success, we had 8 guests playing for a session which was sight reading for most of the ensemble. We are pleased to say one of our guests has already signed up as a member, thank you!
MD Ka Wai Cheng took us through Ravel's Bolero, Saint-Saëns Danse Macabre, De Haan's Dances and Sonnets ending up with a fun run through of Mamma Mia.
From our next rehearsal on 20th June we will be starting to work through numbers for our autumn concert, DM if you would be interested in joining us.

Do you play in a brass band or symphony orchestra and would like to try your hand with a wind band, or maybe you are looking to return to playing after a break.
Well now you can, we are opening our 6th June rehearsal at Cams Hill School to anyone who would like to come and play for an afternoon with us. Please arrive by 12.30 for a 1pm start
The rehearsal will be under the direction of our MD Ka Wai Cheng, sight reading is essential as we will not be sending out music in advance.

The excerpt in the video is from a recent rehearsal featuring one of the less well know pieces we will be playing "Night Beat" which describes a walk through the differing areas of New York.

It's going to be a superb evening of music from a talented local orchestra ranging from Glenn Miller's "Moonlight Serenade" through "Night on a Bald Mountain" and "Nordic Night"to Danny Elfman's "Batman", something for everyone.
Tickets are competitively priced at Adults £10, Seniors £8.50, Under 16 £2 and groups of 5 or more £6.50 each.
